Please take the time to read the two articles in the Des Moines paper today, a legal view and religious view. The legal view gives you a background on the Supreme Court ruling April 4, 2009 that gives a valid future to gay marriage in Iowa. The religious view discusses how many churches are torn on this topic but the statements quoted of Bishop Stephen Charlston and his “10 minutes to save the world” remarks are very enlightening. My opinion is that gay marriage is here to stay in Iowa. We respect each others differences and more importantly – we stick up for each other.
